Name my dinner (what fish did I just eat)

I went to a chinese restuarant. Looked at tank, saw a brown, flat bottomed, spiky fish. I said it was tasty, and sure enough it was. Of course $50 later.

Now I wonder what fish it is. Anyone got any ideas? Brown, Spiky fins, flat bottomed. Massive amounts of meat that was firm instead of flaky.

Congrats! You've just had the best tasting fish there is. What you had was monk fish. I didn't know Chinese restaurants serve this fish. High-end restaurant sometimes include it in their paella that goes for $75 a plate.
