I'm under the impression that you are in your 30s, is that correct?

If so, do you really have THAT much white hair? =)

Deslocke. Now THERE'S a name I remember. :) Why'd you change your name? B/C you wanted to tell the world "I'm older now!" :D

First of all, you don't have to know a mod to get a name change.
Second, if you've done something on here that you need to hide from, chances are pretty good that whoever is mad at you can find you simply by looking for the post that pissed them off and seeing what your name is now.
Third, lots of people change their names for reasons other than hiding from a bunch of internet geeks.

<---formerly Shanti, not that anyone cares.

I only changed my name because the people I work with might browse these boards, I have a rather unique first name, and I was interviewing for other jobs a couple months ago. I didn't want someone to recognize my name and mention something to my boss.

I changed my name briefly to "Tyler" because I was sick of being referred to as "Fred" (my name is, obviously, NOT fred). But, that ended up causing even more confusion so I changed it back.

what's the point of changing names? i think it just makes it harder for us to remember who we may be replying to unless they're in hiding or something.
