Name big budget movies you like...

And it must be the year 2000 or more recent.
The Kingdom. Wasn't heavily promoted, a lot of my friends missed watching it, but I finally saw it and enjoyed it.
Another one might be the 3:10 to Yuma remake.

DeathProof - a big flop but I love the writing and style

Wasn't that a Grindhouse movie with Planet Terror? They made big bucks if I remember correct.

It was universally panned on OT - "Eww... too much dialogue! I have the attention span of a goldfish!"

Rightfully so. I like Tarantino and I like retro and tongue-in-cheek stuff, but Deathproof flat-out sucked elephant balls. Dialogue is ok as long as it has any redeeming value whatsoever. Planet Terror was infinitely better.

Rennaisance was a great movie with fantastic noir motion-capture CGI animation that no one but me seems to have heard of. Daniel Craig voices the lead on the English audio track.

Magnolia. Brilliant movie.

I'm cheating, a little. Limited release in Dec. 1999, worldwide in Jan. 2000.

Crash was pretty much a direct rip-off of Magnolia's concept and flow, but with the race issue thrown in to make it more popular. I much preferred Magnolia.

MST3K: The Movie.

Considering the usual budget for their episodes, it was expensive. 😛

MST3K absolutely blows. Complete waste of time, I sat through a episode once, don't recall which one; my friend said it was the best that they did; absolutely sucked.
