Any movie starring Will Ferrell except Stranger Than Fiction, in which, oddly enough, he was absolutely perfect.

I'm a Ferrel fan, but Stranger than Fiction is certainly his best. In a few scenes he's a little shaky, but the story saves the day.

Stranger than Fiction was great. I like Ferrel's first couple of movies, but then he gets to be too much. Anchorman really was a stroke of genius in that genre.

You can't deny his funnies on SNL.

The Dark Knight

Fixed and yes it was hyped beyond belief. People were saying it's one of the best movies ever. Boy was I let down.

People who think that have shit for brains.

It's a fantastic action movie, absolutely. Great story, simple, nothing complicated. fun flick.

Far from a greatest of all list, though.

Oh, yeah. He was extremely versatile and hard working and consistently funny on SNL, but to me, his being a movie star lead is a textbook case of the Peter Principle in action.

American Beauty, Fight Club, Clerks, The Dark Knight, Memento, Taxi Driver, and anything directed by Clint Eastwood that I've seen so far.

I'd tell you DIAF, except for my sentimental pity for the undeveloped minds of pre-teens.

Never really cared for the Star Wars series. It's not bad, but it's nothing I'd call spectacular. Same thing goes for Tarantino. Just doesn't appeal to me at all.

Anything LOTR. Booooring.

I'm an old school LOTR nerd who can quote the books like the Prods can quote the Bible but I thought the movies pretty much sucked, particularly the Return of the King. The director treated the books like 1950s directors treated bible-based movies with vignettes designs to almost entertain while not offending the true believers.

Napoleon Dynamite - ranks up there on my top ten worst movies I've seenof all time.

Yeah but since the vast majority of humanity agrees with this assessment it doesn't meet the criteria posted by the OP.

With the exception of True Grit, I think every western made by John Wayne is boring.

I agree. I lost interest in the first movie when the wizard died - it changed from a movie with magic to "magical trouble with no magical powers to do anything about it".

napoleon dynamite

A very hard movie to even begin to get. I thought it was weird and stupid my first few viewings. Now, after 4+, I love it. It's not that funny, but it's entertaining in a nostalgic, simple way (kinda like Taylor Swift's music). Come on, when was the last time you heard Backstreet Boys music?

That's what happens when you're a cliche who tries to get through a three hour movie on just three facial expressions. A Ball Hog rises from the deep, and chews your ass.

...As Goodgulf stepped onto the bridge the passage echoed with an ominous dribble, dribble, and a great crowd of narcs burst forth. In their midst was a towering dark shadow too terrible to describe. In it's hand it held a huge black globe and on its chest was written in cruel runes, "Villanova."

"Aiyee," shouted Legolam, "A ballhog!"

Goodgulf turned to face the dread shadow, and as he did, it slowly circled toward the bridge, bouncing the grim sphere as it came. The Wizard reeled back and, clutching at the ropes, raised his wand. "Back, vile hoopster," he cried.

At this the ballhog strode forward onto the bridge, and stepping back, the wizard drew himself up to his full height and said, "Avaunt, thin-clad one!"

Arrowroot waved Krona. "He cannot hold the bridge," he shouted and rushed forward.

"E pluribus unum," cried Bromosel and leaped after him.

"Esso extra," said Legolam, jumping behind him.

"Kaiser Frazer," shouted Gimlet, running up to join them.

The ballhog sprang forward, and raising the dread globe over his head, uttered a triumphant cry.

"Dulce et decorum," said Bromosel, hacking at the bridge.

"Above and beyond," said Arrowroot, chopping a support.

"A far, far better thing," said Legolam, slicing through the walkway.

"Nearer my God to thee," hummed Gimlet, cutting the last stay with a quick ax stroke.

With a loud snap, the bridge collapsed, spilling Goodgulf and the ballhog into the abyss. Arrowroot turned away and, stifling a sob, ran along the passage with the rest of the company close behind...

Jerry Maguire

I thought the plot was contrite, and both Cruz and Gooding gave the worst performances of all time.
