Name a canceled TV show that should have been given a second chance.

I can name a few:
Firefly
Tru Calling
New Amsterdam
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles
FlashForward

SWEET!!! I heard it was canceled and it hasn't been on in forever, so I assumed it was canceled!

SyFy's site says July 6th! AWESOME!!!! get to see more Allison Scagliotti!
Warehouse 13 had the highest ratings of any SyFy show ever. Of course it's not going to get canceled.

Speaking of Syfy shows, is Sanctuary going to have another season? Season 2 had a terrible ending but for the most part it's been good.

Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles

A lot of you said Freaks and Geeks which was good but I liked Apatow's next project Undeclared better which Fox cancelled. A lot of the actors that were in F&G were in Undeclared and later were featured in Apatow's movies. Those actors/actresses are now becoming very popular in Hollywood

SHIT I don't keep up on what's new in TV Land. I read today Everybody Hates Chris was canceled last season 🙁 Terry Crews is so fucking funny in it. I just watched the show a few weeks ago for the first time and have been watching it every day since.

It wasnt cancelled.

The producers had a 5 year plan from the beginning.

Yup. Season 5 was cut short by a few episodes which probably hampered the story-telling, but I'm glad The Wire ended when it was still a great show. It would've been much sadder if it dragged on into mediocrity like Homicide did.

I've heard good things about the show, but never saw it.

what exactly is Chris Rock's role? he's producer/creator? it's somewhat autobiographical, right? ...at least the first season?

Father of the Pride
Wonderfalls
Surface

There was a show on network TV about a bank robbery & each episode you learned a little more about what happened to all the hostages during during the robbery. Can't remember what it was called thought.

- Kings deserved a better marketing campaign, and a first chance really, NBC axed this show so fast.
- FlashForward should get another shot.
- Jericho deserved a 'real' second chance - as in something more than "We've paid for a couple of episodes and you all better watch or we're going to fuck around wit-.. enough of you didn't watch, it's dead".
- Firefly.
- Arrested Development probably wouldn't have found a larger audience, but it'd have been nice if it continued.

I don't really know if any of the shows would actually have found a large audience, but they would have done better w/out network tinkering or a chance to complete their story arcs.
Enterprise (Yeah, I liked this one too. Not making any excuses.)

Enterprise unfortunately had terrible early seasons with a couple decent episodes hidden among them. In the fourth season it started to turn around, but by then it was axed. The last episode is still really bad.

Anyone who says Firefly needs to be shot.

It did get a second chance, it was called Serenity. A potential planned film series from a cancelled TV series counts as a second chance to me. The fact that only one film got made means it failed twice. Any more chances would be third chances and up.

(I own the TV series box set, the film on DVD and went to see it in the cinema on release, I don't hate the show, I just think it's already had its second chance).
