Led Zeppelin- Stairway to heaven
You're kidding, right?

BTW, there's an endless suply of one hit wonders but my vote goes to...
Vanilla Ice - Ice, Ice, Baby

I don't think the OP means one hit wonders

No, I'm not. Most of the "general public" I have seen haven't heard any other song by Led Zeppelin, and say "I love Led Zeppelin!!11!"

I am pretty sure they heard of them before, but just don't know the name.
I mean which person hasn't heard the song Rock and Roll, it's in like 20 billion commercials.

No most people talk about Zep only having heard stairway (which sucks) and most haven't even heard Stairway.

Ok, let's see here. Cyndi Lauper had another big song with Time after Time. Lionel Richie had other big songs with All Night Long and Say You, Say Me. Suzanne Vega had another big song with Luka. Roxette had other big songs with Listen to Your Heart and Dangerous. Soft Cell, Nena, and Frankie Goes to Hollywood are one-hit wonders. I'll give your Bee Gees, New Order, the Eurithmics, Human League, and Survivor though. The rest I haven't heard.

GP, but some of those artists had hits that were on the same level. I think the OP is looking for bands that had one hit that was far and away bigger than the rest of their hits.
