Last concert i saw was Rage against the machine at maple leaf gardens. I had to give a bum my full bottle of whiskey.

Why would you have to give a bum a full bottle of whiskey?

Did he challenge you to a fight and kick your ass?

That or smoke weed with your cousin or ask your sister about Penis advice ?

I'd like to see..

1) Hendrix
2) Elvis or The Doors
3) Motley Crue when they were playing on Sunset Strip. (Early 80's)

1. Led Zeppelin (on a good night)
2. The Who
3. Jimi Hendrix

But how do I pass up Beethoven, or SRV, or The Allman Brothers Band with Duane? Three is not enough.

To do this with bands I haven't seen, and can't see anymore (due to deaths), obviously choosing good touring lineup/performance:

Lynyrd Skynyrd
The Doors
Led Zeppelin
The Beatles
Stevie Ray Vaughan
Allman Brothers
The Who
Queen
Jimi

All sorts of early rock and rollers and blues artists, tbh.

Top 3 that I can't see are:
Led Zeppelin
Jimi Hendrix
The Doors

Top 3 that I want to see, haven't yet, but still might be able to:
U2
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Can't decide between Jack White and the Black Keys

Top 3 shows I've seen:
Metallica - And Justice for All tour
The Allman Brothers - circa late 80s
Pink Floyd - Momentary Lapse of Reason tour

I want to catch Joe Satriani on tour. I'm not real picky though, I'll probably get around to it next year or the one after. Other than him... KMFDM would probably be fun, as would Celldweller or The Glitch Mob, all just off the top of my head.

too bad you'll never see RHCP with Frusciante ^_^ Black Keys was just okay. Can't exactly say I know where the money went, except to line their flannel pockets.

Iced Earth with Matt Barlow
Alice in Chains with Layne Staley
Not sure on the third, too many deceased or broken-up artists / bands to choose from. Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, etc.

that "past and present" thing really ruins this thread. imho, why not make 2 separate ones?
its too easy to say "jimi hendrix at woodstock, charlie parker in paris, john coltrane with miles davis at olympia". when there are very respectable bands today that many won't get a chance to see because money/distance/free time.2

also, i'd see the pixies live at the zurich rote fabrik - three times.

Robert Johnson
Django Reinhardt
Billie Holiday w/ Lester Young

Hard not to mention a few others like Hendrix, Beatles, Cream; Miles Davis w/ Coltrane, Coltrane w/ Elvin Jones etc. Three is not enough!
