I told you EXACTLY what the Military procedure is for R&R with our troops in a War Zone, and how troop rotation procedes for them
in phased deployment ond recovery cycles. You have the gaul to call that 'Spin' ?

Then you finish it of with the 'I know you are but what am I' jargon that is like a kindergardener.

What do you think you deserve - a Medal of Freedom ?

"I shot down . . . you have no answer ". . I'm not having a battle of with here with an unarmed man, I'm telling you A FACT !

You have made the concious decision to remain dumb, your choice . . now go piss up a rope, I'm not wasting any more time on you.
First of all, please explain how military procedure for troops in a war zone applies to police officers. Then you completely ignore the disparity between days and months to attempt to substantiate your pitiful claim that compares apples to oranges and exclaims 'Well, they are both fruit.'.

You ended your initial tirade with:

"But I wouldn't expect a fact avoiding loud-mouth troll to 'Get' it either." and then get all bent out of shape when somone points out your error in thinking (If it could be called that.).

If anyone is pissing here, it's you, pissing into the wind.

Yeah, I do. Because it is comparing apples and oranges. Do you see any of those troops going on a Vegas vacation after only a week on the job?

[useless banter deleted for brevity...]

You haven't provided a bit of FACT yet.

You have made the concious decision to remain dumb, your choice . . now go piss up a rope, I'm not wasting any more time on you.

And you've made the conscious decision to be another troll who comes in spouting supposed "facts" but which are either distorted visions of reality or outright lies.

Does anyone remember when the firefighters and police officers started taking the free vacations they where offered by LV etc. post 9/11.

First of all, where are you getting 100,000 people left in NO?
There were 30,000 in the Superdome; 15,000 in the Conv. Center; thousands trapped on rooftops; hundreds and thousands trapped on various highway overpasses; hospitals still had people/patients; hotels still had guests/tourists; etc.

Do you not know why the States have a National Guard?
Do you not know the difference between the Guard's duties and the Police?
Thank you for proving you have no idea why the National Guard exists.

You mean the vacations that were offered and taken after their responsibilities were completed?

<sigh> Once again you are off the beaten path. Mayor Nagin's "mandatory" evacuation started today. There are no longer 30,000 in the Dome and the Convention Center is empty. Most estimates say 10,000 or less remain in the city limits.

Thank you for proving you have no idea why the National Guard exists.

You've proven that you have absolutely no clue how the National Guard works. Or what their responsibilities are.

And just when were those vacations offered and taken? Certainly not after only a week on the job.

Hello?! McFly?! Anyone home?!

We're talking about immediately after the hurricane. Not now.

Geez.

BTW, mandatory evacuation was issued Aug. 28:

<PLONK>

The topic I started (this one) is dealing with Nagin's proclaimation TODAY. We're not talking about the quasi-Mandatory Evacuation you keep referring to, which has nothing to do with this thread nor was ever referenced by me.

Just goes to show how you like to spin things and move off-topic.

So, why not use the National Guard? His police force is decimated, the city is still half underwater, fires are difficult to fight. What's he supposed to do? Provide therapy for the looters?

Because the Guard has enough duties right now without trying to enforce his "mandatory" evacuation.

The Mayor does not and can not control the Guard troops. The Governor does that. She seems to be backpedalling from the Mayors mandatory forcefull evac call.(atleast from the LIVE interview I saw on TV a couple hours ago).
So it looks to me that the Governor and the Mayor aren't communicating well on this Forcefull evacuation issue.

Is this your special form of divide and conquer? Whatever its finally called, New Orleans will have to completely evacuated, sooner than later. Most of the city is officially unfit for human occupation. It has to and will happen. The governor is letting the mayor bear the bad tidings.

Can you produce evidence Nagin "sent half of the first responders off to Vegas"? If not, kindly STFU and crawl back under your bridge. Continually using the tragedy in New Orleans for your brainless Bush fluffing is repugnant. Based on your behavior here, you're a sorry excuse for a human being.

You are a blind fool.

NEVER did I say he sent half the force off to Vegas. In fact, he is offering 5-day vacations and trips to Vegas for between 400 and 500 officers. And 500 are completely unaccounted for. Tally that up and 900-1000 of the 1,500 officers are either going to be on vacation or AWOL.

I dunno, you sound like a blind fool. Using the Republican daily bulleted talking points list doesn't fill me with confidence as to your impartiality.

Typical to bash the messenger when there is no logical argument against the message.

Coming from you, I'll take that as a compliment.

Take any tidbit and flame it without analyzing the information and/or putting a spin on it.

I'm not spinning anything. Facts are facts.

People like him and a few others are forcing Dave to look more normal.

Whatever floats your boat...

That's ridiculous since you guys basically share the same political views. You're right though, he's somewhat reasonable and is able to think critically.

No, this is more like bashing the messenger of an illogical argument that won't listen to logic.

I'll wait for the official investigations thanks. I'm not into the talking points checklist for my information. You're doing a great job of repeating them though.

Would that "official" investigation be the one Hillary Clinton is going to champion? 😛

Yeah the cops looting Wal-Mart is a favorite around the 'net. Doesn't surprise me a bit.

Keep in mind (in fairness) that the starting wage for a NO PD officer is $300 per week. Not exactly well compensated, all things considered.

NOT that aforementioned is any excuse for abandoning the people you've sworn to protect.

Not exactly well compensated, all things considered.

Plus all you can steal rape and pilage, not so bad. I've read stuff in the past, like 15 years ago when I was stationed in Pensacola about how NO cops were hit sqauds and "collectors" for drug gangs and loan sharks. I don't know if it made national news or not but in Pensacola paper.
