Naga question (EDIT: not diablo question).

Does anyone know if the pic in this story was doctored or could there really be such a creature in the Mekong river? story

I'm thinking the creature may have existed, eventhough the magical powers that the natives think it possesses are not real.

BTW, the naga was supposedly a mythical creature in many South East Asian stories and beliefs.

actually I think in Diablo, it was the dagger.

Naga is also a creature in D&D likely derived from the Thai legend in the original post.

You drink enough Mekong, you'll see all kinds of crazy sh!t! I've got a bottle of it in my apt that my fiancee brought back from Thailand...

Hmm it's not on Snope.

Edit: Found it. It's an Oarfish (assuming that the source is correct).

Ahem:
I also wish to make it clear that I am in no way attempting to disprove the existence of the Naga or the challenge the authenticity of the Bung Fai Phya Nak.
