How are the sound quality of these headphones? Sounds like a decent deal, but I've been burned by too many crappy headphones in the past. I think I'll just stick with my awesome Grado SR60s... :)

They don't give much specs, but 20 hz to 20 khz range is not very impressive for "Deluxe Studio Headphones"

I'm pretty sure 20 Hz is the lower bound of most people's hearing range and 20 kHz is at the upper. Check around most other headphones and they have much smaller ranges. 20 Hz is also really really hard to achieve... just look around at the specs of most speakers/headphones that are considered "consumer" or "high-end consumer."

S0me1X - I don't know what planet you're from, but here on earth, our hearing range is only from about 20hz - 20,480hz

Anything lower than 20hz is sub-bass and not really translatable into anything but vibration (as far as our ears go)
High-end subwoofers (i.e. Velodyne) go down to 12hz at the bottom.

Anything higher than 20khz is beyond human hearing unless you're a child (children can hear up to 24khz sometimes), a dog, or a dolphin.

*edit*
Just read that if you're an avid music listener (rock, etc) then your hearing is likely limited to 15-16khz on the high end. So even 20,000 is overkill for many people.

And the bats!! The bats! They can hear high pitches too. Find some "quality" headphones that can produce higher than 20khz, crank 'em up and aim them at the sky.. watch those suckers hit walls!

Sure, specs don't tell everything about the sound quality of a product. But I've never heard of Studio Headphones with such a "limited range." The point is that these headphones cannot match lets say Sennheiser Orpheus system's aural capabilities.

Also, they don't give you much to judge the system, so I am only using what specs they give to make a comparision.

What are some good quality wireless headphones? Are the Sennheiser RS4-9's any good?

I only tried one pair of wireless headphones -- $130 Sony's. They sucked so bad that I went back to corded. :(

If anyone uses some that work really well in an apartment (lots of EM waves floating around), please let me know. The Sony's were 900MHz ones -- lots of interference.

I picked up a pair of these Nady's , and they came today. Sound quality is awesome for $20. Going to try and order another few pairs, if they still have them at that price.

I got my headphones today, I ordered the $20 dollar ones as well (I couldn't justify spending $30 without trying them first...now I wish I had). Anyway, they're not Sennheiser's, but they're certainly better than what you'll get for $20 in WalMart or BestBuy. They sound good, I wish they were a little more comfortable.

hey...if your looking for a good inexpensive head/mic set take a look HERE
I bought the TM120(in black) headphones at a computershow from these guys. The sound quality is good, and I use them with net2phone for long distance. A lot of people cant tell im using the net to call!! Very comfortable too. Its not studio quality sound, but it does work for those of us on a buget. You can spend $5 and get the crummy set with the thin wire that shorts out after 3 months. Im listing to dave mathews band right now & they do sound good when ya turn it up.;)

Ive never had anything shipped from them. So I dont know the costs.

Well I just got my Nady QH460 headphones ($19.99) and they suck pretty bad. They are semi-comfortable, but they don't fit my head. They have really terrible bass. Even my $14 Koss KTX/PRO have more bass.

They LOOK expensive, but they are really not that high quality.

Just a word of advice. I don't know if the other ones lack like this pair does.

I believe Nady sells a value line of mics, mixers, and other recording equipment. Haven't heard too much about their quality but my friend passed them up for brands like Shure and Mackie.
