True, and I agree wholeheartedly. I guess I just get pissed-off at the black folk who consider terms like "black hole" and the like in a derogatory fashion. It's like a huge step backwards to me IMO.

And for the record...my great grandparents were slaves and some of my relatives died from lynching and the like. That period of history is over. Constantly obsessing over the past like that does nothing for our future and my fellow members of "black" culture tend to hang on the past (or at least some of them) like a fat kid on cheesecake. Why do they do this I ask? I don't. It's not that I don't care it happened, it's that it's over.

Sure it make take time to heal those wounds but I don't go around forsaking people that are white because my relatives are dead. Sure maybe their great grandparents killed mine, but what's more important now (to me) is how I'm treated as an individual...skin color be damned. It's like if a girl broke up with a guy and the guy demanded her kids paid his kids' allowance because his heart was broken. Ridiculous.

Not only that but how many of the 'white' Americans here now were here back then? My decendants sure weren't so stop bitching to me about what happened back then.
