I don't know if this is the right sub-forum for this but after see the thread about the N64 i got the urge to play the N64 again but sadly i got rid of it a few months ago. Then i found this amazing app (Super Nintendo 64 Emulator) in the Google Play Store and its amazing. Runs great on my Nexus 4 with no hiccups. The only problem i have is some games sound will no play or will go in & out.

I absolutely detest playing games with virtual controllers like that. It's cool to see old school games on your phone/tablet but actually playing them wasn't very enjoyable for me because of the controls.

mario kart 64 - when the franchise started to go to shit.

Super Mario Galaxy was great, 2 is on my bucket list of games to play one of these days.

I think you quoted the wrong person heh cause Mario kart doesn't have much to do with Mario galaxy.

You can hook up PS3 controlllers to Android devices. I wouldn't play them any other way.

Most emulators have not been touched in decades and in the case of the N64 emulator, it was hit and miss. The SNES and NES ones work perfectly.

Last time I touched an N64 emulator it was on the original Xbox circa 2005.

I guess the problem could have been the port to the Xbox had been done poorly. Never thought of that. I doubt the code to the main emulator has been modified since.

Probably not applicable though since N64 is 90% vector graphics and emulated at the API call level so its trivial to scale to any resolution. But those 2D GUI billboards. D:

You should see how terrible Killer Instinct Gold looks in RGB when none of the flaws are hidden by crappy signal encoding. Seams, misaligned tiles, transparent billboard edges not so transparent, etc. And I'm talking a real N64.

I downloaded this emulator on my GS4 and some games are just a black screen with music. Other games the visuals cut in and out as well as sound. The analog stick feels awful and the buttons are too close together. Try playing super smash bros and not jumping off the edge by pure accident. I want to play N64 again but this app just sucks. :(
