Yes sounds interesting.... We'll have to wait and see.

I think they should utilize Sony's Cell processor technology in the next GPU core. It would be awesome to have a Cell based graphics card(s).

Can't believe anyone would even take this seriously.

NV45 has been out for a while, in fact I have two cards based on the core right now.

(I think) the SLI kinda make up for a slower cycle.

But if SLI setups already are heavily CPU limited I wonder how CPU limited the R5xx and NV50 core will be.

Oh yeah I forgot, it's just the same thing with the PCI-Express built in with slightly faster clock speeds.
They're probably going to have an NV48 with the a nice overclock with matured silicon before they'll bring out NV50.

Not really, according to nvidia the next gen is late 2004 so thats ok timescale, they are gonna just move on with current techs prob adding the new 1.2 ns ram and maybe offering 512MB flavours and they added agp wont dissappear anytime soon, this info is all over web, i hope so cause ideally i want a replacement for my non working pvp 6800U and i need agp for time being.

FACT 1 N45 is out

FACT2 n40 just missed out on new samsumg 1.2nanosec ram at 800mhz so 1600mhz ddr

FACT3 samsung publically annouced they were testing 512MB modules of gddr3 last month.

Also Nvidia and ATI both talked of next gen having 24pipes.

Yeah one random dude on tomshardware forums. OOK very credible...
I have little doubt that NV50 will have 24-32 pipes. Just Q3 05 would be ahead of the 18month product cycle. 6800 came out Q2 of 04. Thus it would take Q1 of 06, at the very least just for it to get paperlaunched.

It was still there to be seen and i did say may be rumours, nvidia are due a new card so claims UK PR Manager to me but he also told me lies about nov 30th public purevideo driver.

I for 1 take that info and i know the ram parts can be true rest i not sure but i read next gen cards r 24pipes but not ill late 2005.
