I woke up yesterday to my N1 with no 3g icon in the top bar. I get full 3g bars in my house, so this was a new, out of the blue problem. Even out and about with my friend, my phone wouldn't hop on 3g while her myTouch was on 3g with no problem. I've tried everything to get it to activate the 3g radio that I can think of.
I upgraded to Froyo yesterday and hoped that it would trigger the 3g radio, but no dice. I'm still stuck on edge! At least the wifi connection is staying active. My phone would routinely jump between edge and 3g at work and such, but it'd never been on edge at home before yesterday.
I dropped my phone a month or so ago and while there have been no adverse affects, there's no way Google/HTC would ignore that fact if I try to get a replacement or something.
If I can't get it back on 3g, I guess I'm stuck with edge until the holiday season (so I can see the WP7 devices that will come out), or jump to Sprint and the EVO. Sucks because this is the unsubsidized version of the N1.
