N00b overclocking question

Can any of the components get damaged just by raising the fsb? Basically, if I don't raise the voltage at all on the CPU or RAM, can I still screw up my system?

Nope. Unless you plan to remove your HSF while playing HL2 🙂 Even then I'm pretty sure the computer will simply shut down.

EDIT: Depend on the CPU I suppose. My answer was for AMD 64. I don't know a thing about Intel and OC.
 
Can I fix that afterwards?

And, as a followup, how far should I be able to overclock a 2.4 P4 before I would need to raise the voltage?
