lol, that's a light dusting. my road hasn't been snow-free for a month now. you can drive on the stuff if you're not a noob.

a friend of mine just said that her college in TX was canceled due to "dangerously low" temperatures of 34 degrees

i dont think they even sell those in Texas

my stepdad and mom who live less than 10 mins away have a few 4wd vehicles i can borrow if i really need to go anywhere the next few days
Please don't. Remember: 4WD gets you moving, it does nothing to get you stopping.

4WD is great when things get serious for example in a 1 foot plus snowfall, otherwise all it does is create drastic over-confidence.

i'll take that advice sirs, thanks very much 🙂

good thing i grabbed a bottle of DonQ before it got bad 🙂

i'm just gonna stay under these covers in my recliner and watch a bunch of new movies...

uhhhhhhhhhhh, what is going on, that is not snowmagedden ...

should have said iceskating rink roads mageddon ermm i guess 🙂

like literally, the pics dont do it justice, i drove around a little bit earlier just around my neighborhood (the truck did make it up the hill after all........ (in L) (it's got the L2345 manual tranny)... out on that FM road (the one in the OP.....now, you literally can't even TELL where the road is.... i drove about 1/4 mile down it guessing where the road was by the signs on the sides of the roads sticking up through the ice/snow...

it's BAD.

You have to realize that there are those of us here who are used to dealing with far worse than that for several months straight, hence why people are giving you a hard time 😉

I have 4WD on my SUV and only use it on occasion. I just leave it in 2WD for the most part. I'll kick it on when it gets thick on the roads.

We're due to get another 3-5 inches (or more) on Sunday here, and right now it is -8 outside. No sympathy! 😛
