As we all know, the console gaming industry is growing rapidly. With the PS2, XBox and Gamcube out, I think there is need for a new Anandtech Fourm geard towards console gaming. This fourm can be used to debate raw specs of consoles, mods of consoles, info. and personal reviews on cool games that are worth looking at(and arent worth looking at), and any other console related news people happen to come by. I'm not sure how well this will blow over, but, I myself, would be elated to see a fourm like this. I made this poll in order to see for myself, just how interested the computer savy people of this fourm are into console gaming(who knows, maybe the mods will hear me if I get enough intrest and agreement). Post your thoughts and comments, and vote!.
 
Good idea, but you should open it up for other convergence devices like Tivo, ReplayTV,
DVD recording, Speakers, etc...

Make it a Home Entertainment Tech forum.

And you need to change the title on your post to reflect the difference between a thread and a forum.
 
The problem with a console gaming system forum is that consoles are getting lots of hype right now since a new generation is out. But face it, in 2 years the XBox is going to have the same Hard drive and same graphics unit in it as it does now. These things only get upgraded every 5 years or so, so they aren't nearly as interesting to discuss as computer issues. There aren't going to be many cool upgrades to the gamecube or Xbox to discuss, and there are only 3 really dominate consoles to talk about anyway.
 
It's a mute point as we already know the AT Forum Administration is not going to be implementing anymore new forums. They've already made it blatantly clear that under no conditions will there be any new forums at all for at least a year.
Anand himself has already re-affirmed that at least once also.

Well thats a kick in the ass......, guess this is a meaningless poll. Quite a few people dont like the Idea of such a fourm though, very interesting, or odd actualy.
