of course. because of physics its not possible.

you can't keep the plane stationary without having something hold the body of the plane in one spot. the speed rotation of the wheels do not matter.

wow that is probably the coolest myth busted i've ever seen on this show.

even the damn pilot thought it would stay still haha.

the conveyor belt had absolutely 0 effect on the plane.

simple awesome!

The real morans are the ones who dealt with 59 minutes of BS from a Mythbusters episode to watch the part everyone cared about.

😛

<----Moran, apparently. 🙁

if the plane takes off, wouldn't the navy being using it on aircraft carriers?

What?

whoa..that would cost a hell of lot more and to ocmplicated. what they have now is great.

?????

It would serve no purpose. It's not going to make the plane take off any faster, and it's not going to prevent it from taking off. It would do nothing.

It took a bit longer to take off... didn't it? You would think that the friction would slow it down at least a small amount.

I don't get it. Wasn't the debate about when the plane is the same speed as the conveyor belt? The plane was clearly moving faster than the conveyor belt before it took off. So of course it took off.

The rest of the myth, I really don't care about except I see everyone here argue it. But I mean, how did the mythbusters prove anything? Both the toy plane and the real plane were traveling faster than the conveyor belts.
