I know most of you saw Kill Bill over the weekend but if you are looking for an outstanding drama go see Mystic River. The cast is stacked...Sean Penn, Lawrence Fishburne, Tim Robbins and Kevin Bacon. Directed by Clint Eastwood. I won't give anything away, but it had me guessing to the end. Penn deserves the academy award (of course he wont win).

If Sean Penn is in it, then it's not worth going.

Sean Penn = Biggest Dumba$$ in the world..

Sean Penn's performance was the best thing about the movie (by far).

Slow. Painfully slow. Predictible. And long. Terribly long.

I was expecting to see a thriller, not a drama, so maybe I was a bit biased from the beginning.

It was a good story, just excruciating (for the wrong reasons) at times.

heard rave reviews then majorly disliked the movie when I saw it. Slow as hell and bad ending (IMO)

I enjoyed it but liked Run Away Jury MUCH more.

In the end of the movie a drunk midget comes in and kills Darth Vader then runs off with Pamela Anderson. (spoiler) :D

Saw it and loved everything about it. Only thing that kinda left a sour taste in my mouth was the last scene between Penn and his wife in the room. It felt extremely out of place and unnecessary, almost forced. Other than that great acting by everyone and superb directing from Eastwood. Slow pace of the movie could turn a lot of people off but I found it fine.

Imma have to agree, cherrytwist. Sean Penn's performance was fantastic... but the rest of the movie dragged on... and on..... and on. Too much (excessive/unnecessary) dialogue, poor editing (it could've been cut about an hour without losing anything).

Wish I'd saved the money for something else... blah.

People feel the same way about Jane Fonda. It may have to do with Sean Penn being chummy with Saddam before he was booted.
