I found a couple sticks of memory in my box of spare parts the other day and can't seem to find any specs on them. I know they are 72-pin SODIMMs but that's about it. The actual chips are hidden and there are no visable markings except for a sticker with what looks like a part#. Can anyone help me find out the specs like capacity, speed, brand, application, etc. from the part#?

Here's a pic of one of the sticks.

Thanks in advance.

Well, "XF" stands for "Xilinx Foundation" (linky) -- they do work in programmable logic, so they might (might!) be the ones behind the actual chips on the board, but other than that, I haven't found anything else.

Do you have an older laptop around? 72-pin SODIMMs are normally 16MB or in that area, and I know that older IBM laptops used them for sure, but I don't know what exact model numbers used 72-pin SODIMMs ...

Sorry I didn't help you too much, but maybe you can get a jumpstart from this and keep going with it or something ... :)

Thanks for your input. I'm still stumped as to specs of these modules. I was gonna get the specs and try to sell them on FleeBay, but I guess if they are that old and outdated it may not be worth it.

Anyone else wanna venture a guess on the specs? The text on the label states:

56RW832DZJ-6LS/C
9724 XF0342
ASB IN JAPAN WITH
KOREAN DRAMS

package is 72-pin SODIMM

could the 832 in the first line mean 8x32=256M maybe?
