Mystery Account Folders in XP's document "network+local service", can you delete them?

Examing all the "user account" folders in my XP, and I notice there are 2 extra "folder account" not found in my W2K server.

These are the Local Service and Network Servies:

What are they for, and are they safe to delete???

Why would I need to create a serpate Network Account user profile?

the default Win2000 accounts should be

(1) all users
(2) default user
(3) admin
(4) guest

Now we also have the 2 stupid extra
(5) local service
(6) network service
