probably some guy that had this idea about marketing this url, then he's gonna end up selling the domain after its so well known.

BTW- here's another clue that this site was just made up:

I specialize in UPS systems at my job, and the site mentions failing a ES-12 Security audit.

ES-12 is a type of battery that's used in many alarm systems for offices/homes. Sets of these cells put together power many of APC's (and other brands) of UPS systems.

Could there be any other meaning to it, though? I mean, considering how wide-spread this is, I'd think they would at least put some research into it.

What do you mean it's "made up"? Of course it's made up - it some kind of cool marketing gag or something, I just want to be part of it.

LoL, who gives a flying ****** about Canada?

No one would go through all this trouble to make a mysterious website with end of the world themes just for Canada day.

What happened to the website?

It probably got DDoS'd accidentally.

We'd better all click refresh again to see if it's back up yet.

Wrong website, that's EON5, instead of EON8. X04D.Com is my mirror so you can watch the counter.

why is the counter on your site 1 hour ahead???

is there different launhc times depending on time zone?

Looks like the site isn't going to be accessible once the timer hits 0. I wonder how long it will take for traffic to die down enough to view the site afterwards.

Wouldn't be much point launching a product here now - it's 3:55 in the morning. No I am not awake.

I had to write the javascript over again and it worked for me, because it's set up for my timezone. I hadn't planned on distributing it. I'll fix it.

Hhhmm, by browser just completely jacked off, firstly started running ridiculously slow with loads of HDD access which lasted about 5 mins then totally locked up, now it's working again. I wonder if Eon8 has anything to do with it? I can't think of any other explanation. Only have Outlook Express running in the background.

EON8 had nothing to do with it. Outlook Express is a hog. 😀
