I'm going to say that nothing is going to happen once the countdown is done. I say this because I fast-forwarded my computer clock so that there was 30 seconds left on the timer. It ticked down to 0, and then started to load another page. To my surprise it brought up the same page, except now the timer said 1 day 1 hour. Closing the page and re-opening it put the timer back to 12 hours.

My take is that its an annoying gimmick, probably won't ever stop counting down.

What do you expect to happen? It has to resync with the server time. It's not a miracle. :roll:

Anyone expecting anything amazing out of this is sadly mistaken, I didn't know prophets were educated in PHP and JavaScript.

The server is in Texas, I'm in California. How does resyncing with server time add an extra 13 hours to the timer? Last time I checked Texas was only 2 hours ahead of California.

I'm simply saying that just because the code isn't fool proof, doesn't mean it's proof that nothing's going on.

my guess is that its some kind of viral ad for a game or movie or something similar that has to do with the end of times, or some kind of terrorist plot. im not aware of any movie in the near future that really would fit the theme of this site, and no movie can hide from IMDB or us theater employees.
