Mysterious system freeze!

Since performing a motherboard and processor upgrade my PC has developed a strange problem. The problem only occurs after a cold boot and takes the form of a total system freeze or spontaneous re-boot after the computer has been running for about 5 minutes or so, though after restarting the machine will then run fine with no problems. The crash happens regardless of what I am using the PC for and occurs every time I use the computer. This problem is becoming very annoying, and although it seems that the problem must be hardware related I have to admit that it has me baffled and Iâ??d really appreciate any help anyone can give. Below I have listed my system spec.

AMD Althlon XP 1800
ABIT KR7A-RAID motherboard
256MB DDR Crucial memory
ASUS Geforce 3 deluxe graphics card
Creative SoundBlaster Live Player 1024 sound card
IBM 75GXP 45GB UDMA100 hard drive on IDE1 (master)
Maxtor 13GB UDMA33 hard drive on IDE 4 (master)
Plextor 8/4/32 IDE CD-RW on IDE3 (master)
Pioneer DVD ROM on IDE4 (slave)
Diamond SupraExpress 56e external modem
OS WinXP Professional (the problem also occurred with Win98se)
 
Did you do clean install of the OS after the upgrade or are you still trying to run on all the previously installed drivers?
 
Did a clean install of the OS, tried it with 4 in 1's and without them, I just don't understand why the crash only happens after a cold boot!!
