Myspace concerns

Yes I use Myspace. Its really the only way I have to keep up with all my friends on a daily basis, and thats really the only reason I use it.

I have a concern about my Myspace page though. I'm afraid my account got hacked.

I was browsing one of my friends pages, and it had a video (two girls kissing). It looked like a normal Myspace Video that was embedded in the comment... I've seen hundreds of them. However when I clicked play it loaded up another page that looked like a Myspace login page. It said to enter my username and password (said I must be logged in to do that). Thinking something was up I did not enter the information. A few seconds later Firefox blacked out the page and said that this site could pose a identity theft risk.

I'm now worried, so I close the page and go and change my Myspace password. I've even thought about just deleting my page. Am I being to paranoid, or am I ok? I never entered the information the page wanted.

The page looks just like a Myspace login page, but has a odd web address. vid.myspace.com.blah.blah.blah, etc...

I'm pretty worried.... hopefully its ok. I would hate to delete my account, or have the risk that my information is now in the hands of a hacker.

Yeah I know Myspace is evil, etc... and I should just delete it. However I'm concerned my information is now in trouble. What should I do?

So even if I didn't enter my username and password on that page they still got the information? Ouch...

You worry too much. You're fine.

Thats pretty much what my friend said. I just keep hearing conflicting reports on how they get the information. Some say you just visit the page, others say you have to enter the information.

It's a phishing scam, to be phished, you have to actually enter the information. You're fine.
