MyPillow - Is it really the best pillow?

MyPillow is simply shredded up scraps from memory foam production. Lindell figured out a way to take those scraps and turn in them into something he could sell, then made up a bunch of claims to make it an appealing product. It's nothing more than a bag of memory foam shreds.

I got one. I got a double pack from Costco, one softer one and one of the firmer ones. If you sleep on your back and don't move at all then it is a good pillow. I move around too much. By the end of the night the pillow is scrunched into a hard rock. It never worked for me. I stopped using it after a month. Nothing special and not worth the month.

Exactly ... same with several other fairly popular brands.

I have several of a brand called "Bamboo" which I got for free ... they aren't bad as backups or for guests but don't do much in terms of support. At that price I really don't care though.

Do you have one? Should I get one? Is it better than any other pillow out there?
Go buy a $10 foam pillow. Take the foam out of the case, rip the foam into pieces about the size of a tennis ball or smaller, and put the pieces back in the case. You now have a $90 "My Pillow"

Edit: I recall reading that the fellow who owns the company has been blacklisted for being a bible thumper and a friend of Trumps. That may influence your decision.
He is a lying motherfucker still screaming about stolen election, trump won, banned on Twitter and even too fucking crazy for Newsmax... so year, fuck him and his pillows.

But if you have no moral values, which you clearly have demonstrated, can't differentiate between a flat out fucking lie and reality, and support those that want to shit on the US Constitution, waste your fucking money buying his scam crap pillows.

I've tried a lot of pillows over time. I had insomnia for like 20 years. When I was having bad acid reflux, I ended up investing in a MedCline pillow:

It has 3 main features:

1. You sleep at an angle (upper torso lies on the pillow)
2. There are arm-holes on each side to stick your arm through. GENIUS.
3. It has a maternity-style pillow to put under your neck & wrap your legs around

My reflux was solved later with medicine for my stomach condition, but I liked the pillow so much I still use it to this day. I have a cheap memory-foam mattress from Amazon, plus a "heavy" blanket (weighted blanket). I sleep like a baby now. I'm usually out in less than 5 minutes. The pillow is super expensive, but it's just a fantastic design if you have trouble getting comfortable at night.
Huh, I recently had to switch how I sleep. I was a stomach sleeper and apparently after 40 it started to hurt my lower back. Since December I've switched to sleeping on my sides but feel like I have no idea where to put my arms/hands. I usually have a long pillow I hug that can help, but have noticed a nagging pain in my shoulders, mostly my left one. I'll take a look at this.

Pretty much. He is not a 'friend of Trumps', he is literally one of the most vocal people trying to delegitimize an election with no proof and essentially overthrow democracy. But this is not a big deal to most righties these days.

The righties treat the Constitution like fundy christians treat the bible. They cherry-pick the parts they like and ignore the rest.

Both use these documents like a dictionary... the words are in there, you just gotta selective choose the desired words and place them in the order that aligns with your view, but to never use the document as the writers intended.

I love it...I had a hard time sleeping my whole life (insomnia) & this helped a lot because I can actually get comfortable. When I first unboxed it & tested it out, my wife had to come in & check on me because I immediately passed out for 45 minutes lol. So this lets you sleep at an angle, with your arm through or looped over the hole on either side. I sleep on my side with this pillow with my legs wrapped around the long pillow. tbh it used to take me hours to fall asleep & between this pillow & my heavy blanket, I'm out in literally minutes. Was a gamechanger for me! It's amazing how much a solid night's sleep affects your day!

The "best" pillows are the Texas Chainsaw Pillows. Silky smooth to the touch on your skin, construction is good although it's not clear who's skin it is and stitching is a little haphazard..don't forget to hide behind the chainsaws after purchasing..

Yes, I feel like I am never fully out as when I slept on my stomach... Like my body's muscle memory doesn't recognize being on my side as sleep. I'll see if I can arrange current pillows to mimic this design, if I can and I do notice a difference I'll probably pull the trigger. Sound nights sleep are priceless.

best pillow i ever slept on was at the Hilton in Baltimore. Never felt a pillow that comfortable before or after.
Usually i just use a cheap pillow or stack 2 of them if I ate dinner too late and had tomatos or other stuff that can trigger heartburn.
I'm pretty sure you can buy Hilton products online now, like they have their own store so if you use something you like in their rooms you can buy it.

You can sleep kind of on your stomach at an angle, or even on your back. imo it's the best pillow on the market because of the side holes & inner support pillow, plus the maternity-style pillow. Although theirs is better than a maternity pillow because it's got more support (stiffer, I think it's filled with memory foam & it's thicker).

Same thing happened for me with shoes. I got New Balance shoes from the store with their padded inserts based on their little machine you stand on to figure out your feet. Not cheap, but what a difference good shoes make! My magic pillow & my padded shoes were both tremendously good investments for me. Man that makes me feel old LOL.

I sleep on my side, left to be precise. I think I'd like to sleep on my back, but I've experienced sleep paralysis a bunch of times and it sucks, so I don't.

I can't relate to sleeping problems. It's probably the thing I do best.
I'm the same. A good friend has a terrible time sleeping, or actually trying to sleep. Just doesn't happen for him easily. He doesn't get a good nights sleep, some days he's just not there due to lack of sleep. I see how it affects him, but beyond that I can't relate either.

So update to this (slightly off topic to the OP I suppose..BUT) I finally got the pillow system Friday so I've had 4 nights sleep on it. Hasn't been as much of a grand slam as I'd hope. Ultimately should pain is gone but my should and arm still sometimes go numb/fall/asleep no matter how high I am on the wedge. I've tried moving the small insert pillow around so all my upper body weight isn't directly on my arm, it has helped. Given it's only 4 nights I'm willing to keep trying and hoping my body better adapts to it.

Otherwise the body pillow is a pain if you shift around or need to swap sides in the middle of the night, so last night I just tried a Foam pillow, didn't miss the body pillow much, further trial and error required.

I honestly don't even know what makes a good pillow. I've tried the standards.... cotton filled... feather even.... memory foam....

The one thing with memory foam is its overall consistency in shape etc.

I honestly need to buy a new damn pillow because my latest one just lumps around like a piece of playdough.

I like my pillows flat, just need a bit of elevation but not too much, and I'm good. Too puffy and it feels like my head is floating and unstable.

I even tried a rock once since I forgot my pillow camping. I do not recommend a rock.
