Hey Myo,

I notice you have a lot of expereince and knowledge about overclocking, etc... Well, you've seen my posts regarding overclocking my 3.06 GHz... unfortunetly, it still isn't stable at 3.38 GHz... I really want to go about 200fsb(right now im at 147)... I am pretty new to the whole computer scene, so I'm wondering if you could help me in finding the components I need to be able to pass the 200 fsb mark...

If you can, it be awesome! Just let me know!!!!!!! :)

Well, I was going to answer, but since you asked for Myocardia specifically, I guess I'll just move on to the next thread. :D

Oh, well in that case... =)

I doubt you'll ever reach a 200 Mhz FSB with that CPU. That would be 4.5 Ghz.

You're probably at your max already... what voltage are you running it on, and what's the temperature?

well, right now I just put it on 1.5 voltage, at 147fbs. 34c/91f is the tempature...
still not very stable. crashes after playing Battlefield Vietnam for about 20 minutes

I would like to reach around 3.6GHz(i know i'll have to do better than stock cooling =)

But for now, I would mind 3.4 GHz... although i tried 3.4 with 1.6 volts and it still wasn't stable. am I doing something wrong?

I believe in general, 1.65 volts is considered the highest you'd want to go with a P4 for longevity.

Sorry, I was away for awhile. It seems as if that's the best you're gonna get with the motherboard you have. Are you sure that you can only raise the vcore +.1v? It seems that if it will let you adjust it at all, it would give you more choices than that, but I've never even seen one of those boards, much less had a chance to use one. With that said, I really would not recommend you buy an Abit IS7, IC7, or either of the two comparable Asus boards, since the best you would get with them would be 3.6ghz, and the only person I've seen that hit that high, if I remember correctly, was way overvolting his processor. You know, try downloading Prime95 and Speedfan, so you can find out what kind of temps your processor is running at under 100% load, like it does with most new games. With Prime95, just tell it that you only want to use it for stress testing, then under Options, select Torture Test, then the Blend test, all of this after you start SpeedFan, which can be used to check your temps while in Windows. Since you have the stock heatsink, temps may very well be the reason you aren't stable.
