I just came from BestBuy. They have a 1tb MyBookWorld (world edition) NAS with ONE drive, and internal NIC for $329.99

BUT

They also have a MyBookWorld NAS with TWO DRIVES, set up as raid, for $299.99.

I haven't been able to find them that cheap on the internet anywhere.

The best price I've seen on the 500GB MyBook Essential Edition (usb 2.0) drives is $100. Thus, for 1TB, I'm not looking to pay much more than $200. Add a premium for the fact that it's NAS (gigabit at that) and not USB2 (I'd also add a small premium for an eSATA drive). Otherwise, it's cheaper to get 2 500GB drives, so only pay the premium if you have to have all the space in one drive. It's a good deal, but I think they're asking to much of a premium for these drives. At somewhere around $250, I'd jump without looking twice. BTW, if anyone cares, there are some web sites out there that say the NAS performance isn't very good.

The 1TB MyBook NAS is clearance at BB. Most likely the RAID setup is as well. The lowest price seen on the 1TB NAS is 88.99. I'm trying to get a receipt scan from the couple of people that picked it up from that price, as a local BB here will price match any BB in the country. Will update if I get it.
