Some things like ages to complete. Like right now im trying to activate AOL antivirus and its taking forever to complete. Is it because I dont have the ms hotfix?

Also, AOL software sucks big time, that is part of it. That is probably the reason why it isn't uninstalling. AOL 9 literally crashed a freshly restored system when I tried to remove it, further convincing me that it is a virus/spyware itself. I don't want to go into too many details.... unless you want me to.

AOL software belongs to the same trashcan as Symantec products - could as well blame the floppy for it, would make just as much sense.

Try installing the hotfix. Without the hotfix or manually setting processor affinity, some apps stutter, run ridiculously slow or dont work at all.

Actually, for those that haven't noticed .. ;), AOL is in the process of a somewhat interesting turn around. Take their present antivirus release for example, it's actually a rebadged version of kaspersky 6.0, although it is missing a few features it still ranks up there as being one of the better a/v solutions especially considering its $0 price.

Things change.
