my microsoft wireless keyboard has gone haywire.
Everytime I type a character, it shows up on the computer twice.

like if I type asdf, it would come out as aassddff.

any suggestions on how to fix this?
I tried reconnecting the device and replugging all the ps/2 connections.. and still nothing.
I also turned off all wireless phones, etc around the comp off.. and still nothing.
So now I'm stuck with my old keyboard with short wires that don't reach my desk.

is it possible to get a replacement from microsoft? I've searched the microsoft site and can't even find any mention of this keyboard anymore... and the box and manual don't have any mention of warranty information either. (the keyboard is part of my ms wireless desktop.... and I can't find it on the site, since i can only find mention of ms wireless optical desktop).
I've only had this keyboard for like a month and a half... it would suck if I couldn't get this fixed.

this might seem a like a dumb question but have you tried replacing the batteries?

ok..

THANK YOU!!!
i was getting worried... but now my keyboard works.

i stole a different pack of batteries from my parents and my keyboard works now. i guess my pack of batteries were bad.

one question though: why would the keyboard type my character twice if there was a weak battery? it seems so strange to me.

Its an easy indication that your low on battries, so im sure the developers implemented it that way so that lowbat=double letters so the user would easily know.
