My Windows XP Pro starts up ok...

please don't tell me I must reformat...

it literally just keeps on loading and loading at the Windows screen before the Desktop shows up...

any help would be appreciated...

Can you boot into safe mode?

when did this start happening? Have you installed or updated anything - if so try a system restore?

do you use imesh? if so thats the problem. you picked up something from imesh.

tried system restore and nope...no imesh...

system restore doesn't work...so I doubt it's something I installed...the only thing I installed was the CS:S update...

when I try to turn on my comp...the keyboard stops working...like it flashes and then all the lights turn off and stay off...wtf?

If you can boot into safe mode, your system doesn't need to be formatted just yet, not if you couldn't, you'd be truely screwed..

do you by chance have an nForce4 board, and you loaded the Nvidia IDE/SATA drivers?
