I went into my Gamestop today and traded in my gamecube and a bunch of games, and have been putting down some money for a few weeks now, and today they told me that my Wii is paid off....

To be honest, that is an awesome feeling. I did not realize I had so much down on it. I do still owe for Red Steel, and Zelda, but that I figure a little more here and there, and boom, I'm good to go..

Anyone else have a Wii on reserve?? If so what games are you getting, and how much do you owe on it??

When do you guys think the first price drop will be? Maybe ~1 year? I'm holding off on Wii because I have a big backlog of games to play.

45 for a gamecube at my gamestop anyway, they resell for 60 so i figure thats pretty fair...for once...
plus you get 30% more on trade ins (not including the gamecube) towards wii resereve.

as for price drops, I am guessing maybe a year.

Pre-ordered mine from gameplay.com along with Monkey Ball. Have quite a lot of exams in January, so I thought it best not to get Zelda.

Agreed, Nintendo said it themselves that that they could have launched awhile ago, however they did not have the product to meet the demand, so they waited...

Now that they have the product I am guessing you will be able to walk into a store in the very near future and walk out with new console in hand. Keep in mind during the initial launch they will be hard to come by, but probably by x-mas your targets and walmarts will have pallets full of them.

I was talking to the manager at Gamestop and he was telling me that Nintendo will be shipping the Wii's unpackaged. They will be loading the boxes themselves. The reason they are doing this is that Nintendo has promised them more units before other stores carry them. This is a reliable source as I know him personally. So me being the nice guy I am offered to come in a day before and help package the boxes, I just think that would be fun, haha.

When I buy something has to be pay off, I just make it the longest loan so I get the lowest payments.

Yeah, its they fault the price so high, but its our fault we dont do the smart thing and pay it longer.

It's even worse than that - they've paid for something that they don't even have yet. The money is gone, and as yet they've got exactly squat to show for it :p

exactly squat to show, well not exactly..... If you want to get down to specifics I have all receipts showing dates, times, amounts, and the games that were traded in for my Wii. Also might not be important to you, but I do have bragging rights. I can say I am one of the first around to own the Wii. I have never had the opportunity to say that about anything before. I just think its neat. Sure it's not something awesome, it won't change the world, its just something small for me. Sometimes its just the small things in life that count.

I am sure that I am not the only one here that feels that way. ;)

Ummm... no. Nobody will actually play it like that.

But even so, who cares what you look like while you're playing if you're having fun?

Can you just walk in and buy VII? Or do you gotta preorder one?
I never had a console system in my life, but Vii sounds fine.

I fail to see how this makes a person a tool. They look like they are having fun, sure its to sell a product, and I think they are doing a good job of it. Thanks for the neat video. I was afraid that Reed Steel was not going to have multiplayer like that, I'm glad they do.

You'll *probably* be able to buy one on or near release day based on Nintendo's current production forecasts (which they are rumored to be beating).
