My Wife and I went to the Polls after work to vote. The Line was rather short because our district is small. Everthing fine for me.

But on the rolls right next to my wife's name......ABSENTEE in pen not print.

according to their log book She Requested, received, and cast an absentee ballot on 10/25

My wife told the lady "I dont even Know how to get an absentee ballot."

I asked the Poll worker to give me all the info she had and we headed down to the board of elections. I gave them hell, they let her Challenge, she filled out a provisional ballot.

I feel the provisional wont be counted.

I dont care Who they voted for, it was her vote. She is hurt. It was her first time to vote and it was ruined

( on the bright side I saw the provisional ballet system and met a "challenger")

Provisional proably won't be counted, hopefully they won't need to be. It takes like 10 days, we don't want another 2000 Florida experience.

that sucks. I dont' know what to say. I'm sorry.

I know, She said she would rather not vote at all, just to get that vote removed. It probely wouldnt happen.

Did you guys call that fraud hotline?

866-OUR-VOTE
866-MY-VOTE1

I think there is an official .gov line too

People who have not gotten an absentee ballot (in ohio for sure) should be able to fill out a provisional...

That's horrible.

What state are you?

Try looking at his profile.

If accurate, the state is a possible swing state.
When regular balloting is close, they may then count the provisional ballots

A voter recently filed a law suit in OHIO and they quickly declared that people who have not received their Absentee ballots, if they applied for them, should be able to vote using provisional...

Thats how I understand it.

Im in Ohio.

The Problem is their was an Absentee ballot cast in her Name, Not only requested. Someone took her vote. Someone filled out an Absentee ballot in her name or, just possible it is human error.

Reguardless she did fill out a provisional ballot.

And I just got off the phone with the Fraud Hotline Above, a local radio show and the Kerry campaign.

I needed to vent.

well I guess her vote is going to get counted.

looks like our county went 57% Bush and 43% Kerry

Not even one vote in the County for Badnarik ( figured there would be atleast one Stoner here)😉🙁😱

Could your wife have been confused with someone else by having a common last name like, "Jane Smith" or something like that?
