DAMNIT!! I plugged my cell phone in yesterday, went to use it today and the battery was dead. WTF? It was pluggin in ALL night. Too bad for me my wife unplugged my charger sometime in the past week....
In my frusturation I decide to have some coffee. Get everything ready and hit go. Now I usually forget about it until I smell the coffee.....Half hour later I look up.... I dont smell coffee.....
Wander over, the coffee maker is unplugged..

WTF?! Bah, women. :frown:

Duct tape the plug onto the outlet next time. If nothing else, it'll slow her down.

My Ex was the same she used to go around the house before going to bed and not only switch everything off but unplug everything as well. And I mean everything I had to reset the clock on the video every morning and god help me if I ever left the PC on overnight downloading anything...

She drove me crazy...

my wife unplugs all sorts of things too. She thinks if the coffee maker is left plugged in it'l burn the house down... Or the toaster, the toaster-oven, the vacuum, the bread-maker. I've weaned her off of unplugging the microwave.

That would drive me absolutely nuts, heh. As it is, I've made my gf mad b/c she keeps plugging her cell phone charger into a power outlet that's wired to the lightswitch in the living room and I keep turning the switch off b/c our torchiere light is hooked into it. Of course, I'm right in this argument b/c there's plenty of other places to plug the charger into. :p

Thankfully my gf's obsessive-compulsive tendencies are in the cleaning vein. ;)

It does increase fire hazzard slightly, and it does increase the possibility for lighting damage. And almost everything you have plugged in today uses electricity constantly (worse offenders are TVs and anything with a block power converter). So there are some good reasons to unplug things you aren't using. However it sounds like she is going way overboard.

You should unplug your cell phone charger when it isn't charging - why pay all that money when it does you nothing? But you shouldn't unplug things with clocks or channels that you must repeatedly reprogram - the inconvenience would outweigh the savings and safety.

ain't that the truth. I used to date a redhead and had to keep her "plugged in" all the time ;) She could never stay "unplugged" for more then few short hours.
