Other than the usual, you know: Tetris, Dr. Mario, The Sims - all only very sparingly. Her idea of gaming is paper and pencil and a Sudoku book. It's all fine and dandy.
My computer/video gaming "addiction" however draws a ton of flak from her. "You spend more time with that computer than you do with me!" or "Going to play with your other wife?" (referring to the computer of course). You know it... you've heard the same thing on occasion from your own SO at least once I'm sure.
I've been trying to find an avenue to get her to enjoy my hobby (read: waste time playing video games). I bought a Wii last year, and she occasionally plays. It gets more use from the kids though. Hexic for the XBox 360 was a hit for a few days, then back to her mundane non-gaming life. Computer games are a total bust - she has no interest in pretty much anything other than maybe bejeweled.
Finally, I got a reaction that I was looking for...
I asked her if she had a few minutes to watch something, and she relented. It was the demo of Microsoft's Project Natal. After a few "How the hell?", and "No, really... HOW THE HELL!?!", it was followed up with "Wicked!" (Wicked? What are we, in the 80's?) I asked her, "You want one, don't you?" Her reply, "You bet your butt! That rocks!"
Ahh, finally... I might be able to get her into something a little more exciting than square blocks falling from the top of the screen! And to think, it took me close to 3 years to get her to relent to having an XBox in the house.
