For a long time I've tried to get my wife to check out ATOT, and for some reason after all these years she has finally decided to give it a look. Now I think she is suffering from the first stages of addiction; every day when I get home she tells me about all the threads that she read.

She isn't checking up on me or anything, I think she really truly likes it here.

The only problem is that I think she wants to start posting, but she refuses to open her own account. Also, (and she isn't entirely incorrect about this) she thinks that there is nobody here but pimply computer geeks, though I've tried to convince her otherwise.

Please encourage her to join. Wouldn't it be really nice to get our female membership up to a total of 3?

Tell her that posting things on here is twice as much fun as reading other posts!

If you only read, you can't really interact with the things people post. Half the fun is going along with it 😀

Not true. I haven't had a pimple in years. Tell her to come on in, the water's fine. Just avoid the gators, sharks and other odious wildlife in P&N. 🙂
 
Create an account for her. You wouldn't be the first one to do so (I think Skoorb was the first)

Nope, she's wrong about that. I'm more of a science/math geek at heart. I'm not a "computer geek"; computers are just tools. Plus, I haven't had a pimple since I was 14 or 15, and that was a while ago.

Believe me, joining in is so much more fun than sitting on the sidelines. It's great watching a thread you post skyrocket in views in a 2 minute timespan. ATOT is great for when you find something random on the web that makes you laugh and just have to share it. That and it's just plan FUN!!!

Oh, and did I mention it's fun?
