Cool, I am sure she has had a lot of fun over the past few years... Some people try to hard to make milestones that really don't matter.
 
thats so awesome... although it makes me feel pretty low in my life. I give her so much credit for doing that at such a young age. i envy her because of her accomplishements and the fact that you are so proud of her. :beer:

thats relative. This is obviously quite important, to her. For you to state it is not important and to imply shes wasted her early 20s is insulting to the OP and his wife, and embarrassing for you.
 
Congrats to the wife ... smart, motivated wives rock. Although mine isn't in the academics field, she took the same IT program I did, and has done a 180 degree turn and is now a librarian and yoga instructor. She loves both positions, but will drop the library in time and just focus on part-time yoga teaching and full-time parenting.

Edit: plus I love the fact that you still mentioned golf in this thread somewhere! :thumbsup:
 
Wow, thats f'in awesome!

One of my youngest profs was 27 coming in straight outta phD. I must say that I prefer the younger proffessors' teaching styles. Heck, we after finals, the class and prof when out drinking together, played basketball, etc. as if we were buddies. Can't say that about some of the 80 yr old profs...

she did sacrifice quite a bit to get to where she's at. ie. not going out to the bars and getting wasted every weekend (unlike me), not spending money frivilously (i do quite enough of that) and a lot of social sacrifices as well. you can't get to where she is without extremely hard work. that said, she doesn't regret anything and still finds time to hang with her friends once in a while...

Nice congrats, there was a lecturer at my university at ontario (who was also 24 years old and REALLY HOT) last year, BTW what university?
 
Man I wish that my wife had motivation like that.
I just finished my masters degree in engineering and I am 25 years old. I love to set goals for myself an obtain them. I like to see if I can decrease my time for a 5k run. I am starting a small business.
My wife won't set any physical or mental goals. Nothing. She dropped out of grad school because she didn't think that she needs it. She just sits around and let's God lead her life for her. It drives me crazy.
 
Congrats! My husband was a University Professor at 24 🙂 He felt much younger than many of his students. Congrats on defending as well! What school?
 
thats awesome... although I dont like being taught at a uni by someone who doesn't have real world experience... but all that said she is definitely kickin arse

My wife is an at home Mom. I didn't think we could ever do it but it's working 🙂
