I did my first double black ever. The video shows the guy coming down the chair at first and around 0:25 is where he looks downhill. Probably doesn't look as scary as it does but I did blacks before and this was making me sh!t in my pants because honestly it looked like a 60 degree incline or something. Where everyone carves, the video shows the guy just killing the whole slope barely slowing down. Me on the other hand... well I remember my legs dangling over the edge and going oh gosh why do I have to jump off 3 feet to get on the slope first (it felt like a cliff). Plus it was bumpy/moguly for the first 20 feet or so. The video shows amazing powder, but come on.. Tahoe this past Saturday when it was like 80 degrees in the Bay Area? Hah. I wasn't lucky. I landed my jump and then I tried to slow but the bumps caught me and I fell on my ass only to slide like 200 feet down the mountain before I could get up. By the time I could get up and start carving again it wasn't very steep and just a black level I'd say. I'll need some more practice.

Sunday I went to shop with my girlfriend for groceries and some douche came up to my car and asked if I needed help with a dent on the side of the car. I said no thanks and he's like dude don't worry. He parks his car (and by park I mean he just stops in the parking lot blocking a few parked cars) and jumps out and says he can do it for $40. Without warning he just gets right on to working on my car. I keep telling him it's ok and I can get it fixed another day at a shop. But he doesn't listen. He's a lot larger than me and I'm still sore/tired from boarding the day before I don't exactly want to get hostile. He uses a suction cup to kinda fix the dent and then asks me for money and I'm like "seriously if you give me your card and your shop address I'll drop by and get it fully fixed." The guy spouts off about how he's gotta buy a cake for his daughter's birthday and what not and he needs some cash. The bigger problem is if he just wants money and, I can just give him a $20 to have him walk away, but I HAD NO CASH at all.. well a $1 bill would be a slap in the face but both my girlfriend and I had no cash and just credit cards at that moment. I thought he was gonna kick my car and re-dent it or something but he just storms away. Bleh. More reason to hate poor/run-down communities. This is a 99 Ranch plaza by the way (Pacific East Mall in Richmond/El Cerrito, CA). I highly doubt I would've seen this at my local 99 Ranch plaza.

Cliffs:
- When there's an "Experts Only" sign in front of a lift at a ski resort, they MEAN it. Don't listen to your stupid friends who say "there's an easier way down.. don't worry"
- Deadbeat wants to fix my car, does so w/o permission
- Asks for $40. I only got $1 on me
- He storms out. Thank goodness no conflict.

Hey, I used to be on the Kirkwood ski team! Oh how I miss going down those slopes. Congrats on doing your first double black. I remember one time we set up a race course that started about half way down The Wall and then continued onto I think it's called The Reut?

The dent's somewhat gone but there's still two little mini dents left. Maybe because he was a bit forceful. Then there's still the paint chip where the damn garage door hit my car (it's a sideways closing garage door that clipped my carside because the stupid sensor wasn't working that day and didn't sense my car was still on the driveway.

Thank you for not sitting on the edge of the short cliff right at the start of The Wall. It's annoying when newbies block the area off for others.
