Well, this thing worked on my last PC and it was some 1.9GHZ 3800+ chip with Windows XP HE. I have Windows Vista 64 Bit. I have the external HD's FireWire going directly into the side of my PC I just built. I don't have the software anymore. Why isn't it being recognized? Thanks!

This is my external.
 
* Is your firewire port connected internally to your MB?
* Are drivers loaded for the firewire controller?
* Does the external drive recognized when connected via USB?
