Same in Kentucky....

But my vote will be in the national total.....although that doesn't mean much. :p

Cry me a river...unless you vote in a battleground state, it really doesn't matter too much. I voted Kerry in Cali, but I'd much rather have voted Kerry in Iowa (should have, but thought about it too late).

And unless you lived in Palm Beach County FL during the 2000 election your vote didn't mean sh!t either. That's not the point. Your right to vote doesn't guarantee you a particular degree of influence in determining the overall result, just that you get to participate.

Your vote DOES count. Inside your state, as intended.

We need to do away with the antiquated electoral college and have a proportional system in Congress.

And we thank you for your forgetfulness :D

Oh, and to anyone who doesn't think their vote count...think again. There hasn't been a president elected with the majority of popular votes for the last few elections - I chalk that up to the "my vote doesn't count because the state I live in" BS. You vote counts - and if enough of you actually do vote - it could actually affect things. If not this time - maybe next - the whole ground swell theory.

Go vote...and vote for Bush! :D

Lots of other stuff to vote on is the only reason I'm showing up. Voted for Bush 1 in Ca, voted for Buchanan in Ca so what? There's like 15 issues on ballot this election.

I have to vote in Tejas - Guess who is popular there.

But I will have the satisfaction of voting NO for my personal gratification.

I feel your pain. Your vote should count and it simply does not with the EC. Shame.

Yes, it does. Inside his state. Otherwise, you may as well argue that everyone who votes with the minority is effectively disenfrachised.

There are people who vote for Kerry in red states... just as there are people who vote for Bush in blue states.

I like in ND where bush will probably met kerry by at least 3 to 1. I will be voting for nader, since it doesn't matter anyways, even though nader is a sellout.
