My opinion is, that if you dont want to hear what anyone has to say, just dont listen to them. It is Conan's show, and he has the right to say anything racist, and should not be critized, or sued for it. Something I've never understood is why they say it to each other and don't get mad. Another thing I've noticed a few times is Mexicans calling each other wetbacks or scratchbacks. I go to a local taco stand(I'm usually the only beloved patriot in there) every once in a while and I've heard some of the workers/customers in there calling each other those things. I'm sure if I were to say it that I wouldn't be able to walk out of the place under my own power.

i think asians really get the shaft when it comes to racism. they always make fun of asians on TV but no one would DARE make fun of a black for fear of being called a racist. i think we all should either stop, which is pretty much impossible, or lighten up.

Yep us asians do get shafted by racism. We don't have idiots like jesse kackson complaining
about every single thing and calling every major corporation racism. So therefore we get picked on the most. But i don't think RACISM is ever one side, its a 2 way street. When u start Hating on a person, the other person will hate you back. Its never gonna stop.

i agree with dcpsoguy... the irony of it all is that all the civil rights groups and minority groups are always stressing acceptance, diversity, freedom, etc, then they turn right back around and play the role of the oppressor. one notable exception is the aclu (they rock!) but all the rest of them pretty much are flaming hypocrites. i'm not condoning racism, but i'm saying that tolerance is a two way street.

because it's assumed that nobody would be insulting their own kind, and it's almost a term of endearment. whether or not a word is offensive has nothing to do with the word itself, and everything to do with how you use it. or at least how others before you used it
