I am having a problem with my card, and I don't know what to do. My card keeps freezing then resetting itself every so often, and it says it had to reset the graphics accelerator (sp?) because it couldn't respond. I tried many things, but nothing different happened. If anyone can shed some light on this situation feel free to give any ideas on what to do. I may or may have not tried them. Thanks.

Card is a ATI 9600 Pro by the way

please give full system specs, or is it the one in your sig?. What are the things you tried? Is the fan spinning on it? Is it only occuring while playing games? And what the heck is a PCMCIS 400W Power Supply, never heard of that brand, and I wouldn't trust it.

I'm not exactly sure what it is in your case, but with my p4 system, the 9600xt kept freezing and crashing like your describing. After changing the cooling on that card, it ran stable ever since. I used the zalman HS with the addon fan. Turned out to be a heating issue for me =/

Why stock cooling wasnt working? I dont know. Plus the card doesn't even need a molex plug.

ATI has a feature in their drivers afaik taht resets the card everytime an error occurs to avoid freezing the entire computer... that could be it, maybe something else is crashing and instead of the computer freezing just the card reboots... i could be totally wrong though

Yes, the specs are like the one in my sig. I have tried updating drivers and even reinstalling the card itself. The power supply is not the problem, I have used 3 PSU's and get the same thing. Also, I don't play games on it other than Halo, and I haven't played that since I installed it. As for the fan, it is spinning, so I know something is working.
I was wondering if there was a driver I am missing or something. I usually have this problem when I go to certain things, and I'm talking everyday stuff including scrolling down a page.
Ayman, do you think it would be the cooling that would help? I'm beginning to wonder if I have a bad card.
