My vanilla 6800 Benchmarks

Well, got the 6800 up and running and ran a few new benchmarks on er. They here:

(3Dmark2001...3Dmark2003....AquaMark...Codecreatures).....did I miss any?

Anything else I should run? And why on Earth is 3dmark 2001 scorin lower???

PS- these were all done at default settings on a fairly (30 days or so ago) fresh install of Win XP Pro..all the latest drivers were used and as many of you know I have NUTHIN running in the background (cept the Logitech keyboard software...dats it)

The 6800 Ultra outa be here in a couple weeks but I couldnt play doom on a ratty old 5900U so I had ta buy a 6800 at CompUSA for now :)

Those are synthetic benchmarks. I would run some Far Cry and UT2004 benchmarks for some more "real-world" results.

But if ya compare my old synthetic benchs to my new ones then ya get a good performance comparison.

Exactly. Most people don't understand this, so they bash 3DMark and the like.

As for a comparison for you, I also have a 6800nu coupled with an Athlon64 3200+ @ 2477GHz and 1GB PC3200, and I get a 3DMark03 score of 10194 compared to your 8740.

the vanilla 6800 is starting to really appeal to me, especially since I could sell my 9800pro now, pay the difference, then upgrade w/in 3 months to a GT from evga.com :D
