My uncle has been diagnosed with a particularly aggressive form of leukemia (the type that affects WBCs). He'll be receiving the best medical care available, but I would like to also use some sort of alternative treatment, namely strong antioxidants. Being a bit of a health nut myself, I already have astaxanthin, flax oil, cod liver, and lycopene as items on the list to give him. Any suggestions would be great, especially if their benefits could be explained. I already know the way antioxidants work against free radicals, but I would like to know about specific benefits.
