I feel ripped off.

Ok, not really. 😛

It did come with the neck though.

its a 9 lbs bird and looks great. Its roasting @ 325°F for about 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

should be very nice.

I will be steaming some Asian sticky rice with mixed veggies.

And chocolate Texas muffins for dessert.

the turkey was very nice.

not bad for being the first one I cooked.

the dark meat was amazing.

there is about a pound or so of white meat left. It was the perfect size.

I am stuffed.

😀

Okay, I'll join in the new theme for the month...

It came without giblets because it didn't have them to begin with! It was a turkey zombie, roaming the earth, when its head was cut off. Now, late tonight when you start feeling funny...

I assume you know that there are two cavities in a turkey. The neck is usually stashed in the obvious one, while the giblets are usually in the smaller cavity near where the neck was attached. Who knows? Maybe you have giblets leftovers too.

🙂

I had a smoked turkey this year. It was awesome.

Did your turkey come with a gravy pack? Mine didn't for thanksgiving.. Had to make my own gravy from scratch. It was awesome.

My dad liked that sort of stuff, not me.
