Ok, so my old 3.0ghz single core died out on me a few months back, but I was running 32-bit win7 on it with no issue and had software such as PS3 media server and Playon streaming to my PS3 content from my pc HDs and also from the web also with no problem (playon is kinda glitchy, but streamed fine for the most part).
Now I've put together a new 64-bit quad core (specs below) and both ps3 media server and playon are having issues streaming to the ps3, longer load times and stuttering playback with lengthy pauses ... I haven't tried streaming through other programs, I have come across other people with similar issues, but have not come across any good solution ... some people in the past have reported issues with certain versions of Java causing similar problems, but haven't been able to confirm this as the problem I am having. I also tried to disable the onboard graphics to see if that would make any difference (which was running along side my discrete gpu), but it didn't.
Oh yea, both the ps3 and the pc are wired to the same network.
Anyone have and solved a similar problem? Any suggestions?
Besides this issue, the new system runs like a dream, super fast starting up windows and software, really can't understand why this might be an issue.
System specs:
Motherboard: ASRock Z68 Professional Gen3
Ram: 16gb Corsair 1600
Vid Card: Sapphire HD5670 (1gb)
OS HD : 256GB SSD
OS: Win7 64bit Pro
need any other info?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
