My Traxxas Rustler with a new brushless set up under the hood.

Looks pretty good. Ive never been a big fan of electrics just because of the recharge time.

I need to take my Jato 3.3 out sometime soon

Thats why you need more then 1-2 batteries. I have 20 and 2 intellipeek chargers that charge 2 batteries at a time, with both running I do 4, so there is no "down" time.

Yes, I understand that. Ive just never gotten into electrics much I guess.

With nitro I can just keep fueling and never have to stop.

I have Nitro too as well, but unlike nitro, I dont have to keep fucking setting the motor up depending on the days weather when I take them out.

I got the new Kyosho Kruiser (youtube it) that I have to finish breaking in. Its a bad as truck 😉

Tuning the engine does get annoying, but it usually doesnt take very long to do atleast. My biggest complaint about the Jato is the unbelievably weak suspension arms.

And yes.. those Kyosho's are badass

Oh this is the new remake of the mad force. Extended chassis, lowered suspension, nothing really like the first and second editions of the mad force. These just came out, quietly, not yet for sale really here in the states except from 2 people on ebay right now.

Just watched a few of your videos on Youtube. How many cars do you have right now?

I've only got 2 right now, my original Nitro (on-road from Tamiya) and a Jato 3.3

I bought the Jato b/c I wanted to do some dirt racing. Turns out its way cheaper to keep everything onroad, theres a lot less to break.

23 cars, trucks, boats, and planes, some nitro, electric, and one that runs on 2 cycle gas. Ranging from 1/24th scale to 1:5th. Been doing the hobby for some time now 🙂

Just got into planes as of recently. Thats a really fun hobby provided its not windy out😉

Yay, more RC enthusiast!
Youtube is blocked here, but did you go with the Velineon? I have 2 Revos, X-Ray XT8, Hyper St-Pro, a Jato 3.3. (with OS 18 TZ), an older nitro Rustler and a mini-revo.
The mini is easily fastest of the bunch. With two Turnigy 3s LiPo packs (1550mah) running in parallel, it's stupidly fast. I would run in series but the ESC can't take the voltage but it would be even quicker.
The toughest of the bunch are the truggies. The Hyper is built like a tank and the Xray is pretty tough as well and has more tuning options than anything else I have ran to date.
The Revos are my bashers thru and thru. It's a fun hobby, albeit a pricey one.

Get a truggy for the offroad stuff! They are far tougher and usually handles the bumps better. 😎

I took the Velineon system out of my rustler and stuck it in my high roller, and replaced it with whats in it now. Of the pair, traxxas and hobbywing, I much prefer the hobbywing. Performance is almost the same, little faster with the wing and the best part is the program card. You can adjust everything from timing, to punch off the line, and even the rotation of the motor. Its pretty bad ass.

Id like to get the mini slash but sadly Im out of tax time fun money.

The Jato does alright for offroad, as long as I'm careful I usually dont break stuff anymore. Plus its nice to have ridiculous speeds at the parking lot

for what it is, the Jato is pretty darned quick too. Mine has been turned into a street queen though.
I need a new OS 18 TM starter shaft. I put the TM shaft on the TZ motor so I didn't have to use a bump box. When bearings go, they normally tear something else up with them. Oh well.

I could never get into a street ride. Sure they are fast, but for me the "WOW" factor isnt there when you jump your truck into the air, or have to fight to keep it on all 4 wheels. Now off road is as fast as on road, but with all the hops, jumps, 2 wheels, and trying to keep it all under control, well thats fun for me, then just going back and forth or in a circle fast and nothing more.

Again, this goes back to why i bought the Jato. Its not great off-road, but it can do it no problem. Once i bought some good offroad tires I had tons of fun offroad. I think the Jato really caught on just because it can do a little of both.

I thought about getting a 4Tec, but the little extra speed wasnt worth losing all offroad capabilities.

Do you still have the velineon esc/motor??????? If you do and would like to trade/sell it, let me know! I've got a few pristine motors (not a drop of fuel) and a couple of nicely modded engines.

Nope, as I said it made its way into my Losi High roller 😉

I have a Traxxas T-Maxx with a swapped engine that I clocked doing 60MPH at one point in it's prime.

I caught a pipe sticking up out of the ground in an open field that I didn't realize was there until it was too late and it's just never been the same again 🙁

At this point it's sat unattended to for the past 2 years. One day I'll tear down the engine and do a rebuild.

If I ever buy a new RC, I'll go electric/brushless. Nitro is a pain in the ass, loud as hell and messy.

I have a Traxxas Rustler that came with the 2.5R engine. Just this past summer I swapped it out for the 3.3. Holy shit, this thing can't stay on 4 wheels.

Almost every plastic part has been upgraded to aluminum.
