It is an NVM FX series laptop ,and its an elantech touch pad ,model unknown got ir from www.nvmcomputers.com

i have the same problem on an acer. works everywhere expect for in firefox. must be a firefox thing.

It's the touchpad drivers, if the newest Elantech ones still don't work, then try the Synaptics drivers. Apparently they work fine according to here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showpost.php?p=1226511&postcount=6

And your laptop is actually the MSI MS-1036.
