Well, we both smoke (nights only, never before work - that's crazy!), and week is insanely expensive in NYC. I can get mexican weed for what you're quoting, but the home delivery/hydro/ "our clients include Heath Ledger and the Olson Twins" shit is expensive, but worth it for the sake of being able to try different strains and never having to follow a shady drug dealer somewhere. I'm not trying to justify it, smoking every night keeps you in that cloud, but $100 a week is cheaper than one night on the town for a couple here in NYC. I'm not even talking living on the ritz style living - we ventured out for drinks (one drink each) and pot pies at a diner and ended up spending $90 that night.. Chicken pot pies cost $18 each! POT PIES! NYC is many wonderful things, affordable is not one of them.

But we didn't smoke last night, partially inspired by this thread. It was probably the worst day to slow down - migraine, stuck in traffic for an extra hour, nauseous from bad bean curd, and a case of the Mondays.. But, you guys are right, the fog is already gone and a week (plus a week away on vacation) will clear our system right up.

LSD-25 has no LD-50. After the failed MK-ULTRA program good reasons to make it illegal and unavailable to the public, much like marijuana. Since no such reasons existed, they were created! well, you get like $20 worth of pot for free, make $50, so you make $70 honestly... and only do like 7 deals, most at the same time... and within an hour if you know the right people... so $70 an hour doesnt appeal to you? not to mention Cash in HAND... and we are talking about a small dude, move up to a QP, and you get 32 eighths, but will probably sell some larger quantity...

Nope. Like the idiot I am, I get free hits from my friends. All it took was a few drags and I was pretty laced. I never really had a trusted dealer but I was a "casual" smoker that turned into a non-existant smoker after I had a run in with my friend "Reggo".

What do you guys think of his usage? I don't have a problem with responsible adults smoking weed, but his use was excessive for any age, and wildly inappropriate for someone in high school(imo).

Yeah his useage was really high, no pun intended. Im sure thats what has led to his tolerance going sky high.

I smoke every day but only one really small bowl a day when i get home from work, ill smoke 2 or 3 small bowls on my days off. Never before work i could not imagine trying to dispatch 30 tow trucks and take phone calls from customers and the cops while high, my towing company has the city contract so i talk to and see cops in person on a daily basis.

Me and the gf will go through a Oz a month so that would work out to half a gram each a day which is pretty minimal. Been smokeing for 10 years and still get high. stop for 6 months every few years just for the hell of it really.

A few of my friends are hardcore stoners and I'll say weed is pretty self-destructive. Not physically, but these guys are broke all the time. It's a greater expense than if my friends went out and bought new cars. I'm "that guy" who doesn't smoke weed or drink at the bar (DD), so I have the nicest car in my circle of friends :D

On a side note, I would like to comment that maybe "tolerance" is describing the wrong thing. If you're high all the time, being high is now what you think of as being normal, so to feel "high" (not normal) you would need to keep taking more drugs.

Let me give an example. Let's say I wake up and I'm feeling tired. Being tired is my natural state. I drink one cup of coffee and now I'm not tired. I say that this is my natural state, but I'm actually high on caffeine. Because I'm tired this day, I would say I need to drink 2 cups of coffee to feel buzzed. I might even describe this as being a tolerance since yesterday I felt buzzed after 1 cup of coffee (because I was not tired yesterday) but today I need 2 cups of coffee to get that same feeling. This isn't really a tolerance. This is just me saying that I have a caffeine tolerance when the reality is that I was high after drinking the first cup. Being buzzed after the second cup just means I'm more high than I was before.

Of course not all tolerance works like that. More extreme drugs deplete chemicals (meth depletes dopamine) and some sometimes damage the brain (too much meth can damage dopamine receptors). I don't think either of those really apply to THC, so I think my drinking coffee example is acceptable.

used to. transfered out to EIU and graduated a few years back

I dont munch on anything because I dont smoke pot, makes me sick to my stomach. I stick to nicaraguan cigars when I do smoke something

If they didn't smoke weed, maybe that extra $5k of post-tax money per year would go into something like assets or paying off debt. Smokers, gamblers, and alcoholics go into that same category - they work incredibly hard to get money then they have nothing to show for it.
