I've got three goals to do by May 15th:

- Graduate from college (which should work as long as I go to class this semester)
- Pay off my debt to $0 (which should work as long as I go to work this semester)
- Lose 30 pounds (15 weeks, 2 pounds per week).

Anyway, I'm going to the gym every day and have cut down to a diet of fruit, chicken salad sandwiches, steamed broccoli, and a bunch of other stuff. I've already lost 10 pounds over two months with JUST the diet change, and now I've been going to the gym M - F to add to the weight loss. I've got a bunch of health problems and my doc says if I get down to around 200 I should be a lot healthier (I'm at 238 now).

Anyone think this is possible? Any tips/tricks?

UPDATE:

- Well, so far I've lost 16 pounds since December 1st. Half way there and I only just started! Thats ridicilous! Working out every day and eating right!!
- Debt is staying about the same.... nothing new there. But it aint climbing!
- Graduating looks good so far. calc II is killing me. :)

I'm losing weight though!!! UPDATES in another few weeks!!

Those are good goals to have! Good luck with 'em, and don't forget to start hitting on the cute girls at the gym once you get close to your goal weight! Who knows... It just might give you the necessary "motivation" to keep the pounds off :)

Try working out in the morning if you can. I find that when I do that, despite having to get up a little earlier, I end up with more energy for the day, and moreover, instead of feeling lazy and grabbing a burger or something for lunch, I'm hungry for healthy food for breakfast and wind up eating well for lunch, too.

No its not possible. You will fail out of school, debt will skyrocket, gain 50lbs, and ultimately end up spending the next year posting here like many others until you reach 10k nef posts in the next 12 months. Congrats.

Good luck ... but remember that as long as the weight loss is steady, you'll be fine even if you don't drop 30 by May. Just keep up the adjusted lifestyle.

Thanks for the recommendations about the morning. I think I'm going to try that, especially since I've been sleeping really well lately and waking up by myself after 7 hours and feeling pretty good throughout the day (which means I'm sleeping better, I got a new bed recently and thats probably helping!).

Tonight I think I'm going to hit up Old Navy and get another pair of jeans (right now I only have one), and probably grab a new waterbottle and some cheap sandles so I can take a shower at the gym... that way I can go directly to work or class (I have an 8:30 class this semester every morning, so if I get up at about 6:30 and at the gym by 6:50 I can work out until about 7:50 ... take a shower, and then be at my class by 8:30. Point is that I know I need a life style change, I want to lose weight, make lots of money, and get my goals completed.

I'll admit that part of this is girl inspired. I was with a girl for almost three years and we recently broke up. Reasons were that her parents hated me, she's leaving for 6 months to study abroad, and I was her first boyfriend and all these people kept telling her to see what else is out there. Anyway, she leaves this Saturday, and her and I are trying to be friends, but I know that I've wanted to lose the weight and fix my health for such a long time, and if I don't do it, I'm going to get more upset about losing her and more upset about not doing anything to fix my health.....

Set small goals like per week so you can see some regular achievements which may encourage you to keep going?

Hell no!

Well, maybe later, but not until you've found somebody better :)
